This Cookie Policy explains how Solutions 2grow SA uses cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit our websites and when you use our subscription service, including connected mobile applications from Solutions 2grow SA. It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters sent to your computer when you visit a website. When you visit the website again, the cookie allows the website to recognize your browser. Cookies may store user preferences and other information.
Cookies provide a convenience feature to save you time or to tell the Web server that you have returned to a particular page. For example, if you customize pages on our websites or subscribe to our subscription service, a cookie helps us recall your specific information on subsequent visits. When you return to the same site, the information you previously provided may be retrieved so that you can easily use the customized features.
The cookies set by the site owner (in this case Solutions 2grow SA) are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called third-party cookies. Third party cookies provide third party features or functionality through the website (e.g., advertisements, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when you visit this website and when you visit other websites.
Why do we use cookies?
We use first and third party cookies for various reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons for our websites to work and we refer to these as “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. Other cookies also allow us to track and target the interests of our users to improve the experience on our websites and our subscription service.
For example, Solutions 2grow S.A. tracks the websites and pages you visit on Solutions 2grow S.A. in order to determine which part of the Solutions 2grow S.A. website is the most popular or most used. This data is used to deliver customized content and offers on the Solutions 2grow S.A. Web site to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area. Third parties serve cookies through our websites for advertising, analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.
- What kind of cookies do we use and how do we use them?
- The specific types of first and third party cookies displayed through our websites and their purposes. For a list of the cookies used by Solutions 2grow SA, see this page. These cookies include:
- Basic website cookies: These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our websites and mobile apps and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas.
Performance and functionality cookies: These cookies are used to improve the performance and functionality of our websites, subscription service and mobile apps, but are not necessary for their use. However, without these cookies, certain features may not be available. - Cookie and customization cookie details: These cookies collect information that is used either in aggregate form to help us understand how our websites, subscription service and mobile apps are used or how effective our marketing campaigns are or to help us tailor our websites for you.
- Advertising cookies. They perform functions such as preventing the same ad from being shown over and over again, ensuring that ads are displayed correctly for advertisers and, in some cases, selecting ads based on your interests.
- Social media cookies: These cookies are used to allow you to share pages and content of interest to you on our websites, subscription service or mobile applications through third party social networks and other websites. These cookies may also be used for advertising purposes.
How can I control cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie preferences by clicking on the appropriate opt-out links provided below.
You can set or modify your web browser controls to accept or reject cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our website, although your access to certain features and areas of our website may be restricted. As the means by which you can reject cookies through browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit the help menu of the browser you are using for more information.
In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. If you want to find out more information, visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or http://www.youronlinechoices.com. You can opt out by clicking here: http://preferences.truste.com/ (or if you are in the European Union by clicking here: http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/). Note that this does not exclude you from your advertising. You will continue to receive general advertising.
Basic site cookies: Because these cookies are absolutely essential for delivering the websites to you, you cannot refuse them. You can block or delete them by changing your browser settings as described above.
What about other monitoring technologies, such as Web Beacons?
Cookies are not the only way to identify or track visitors to a website. We use a software technology called clear gifs (also called Web Beacons/Web Bugs) that help us better manage the Site and Subscription Service by telling us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Internet users. Unlike cookies, which are stored on the user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly in web pages or emails and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We use clear gifs or pixels in HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. We link the information gathered with clear gifs in emails to our customers’ Personal Information.
Do you use Flash cookies or local shared objects?
Adobe Flash Player (and similar applications) uses technology to remember settings, preferences and usage similar to browser cookies, but these are managed through a different interface than that provided by the web browser. This technology creates locally stored objects often referred to as “Flash cookies”. E-Marketing Clusters does not use Flash cookies.
Does targeted advertising work for you?
Third parties may use cookies on your computer or mobile device to serve ads through our websites. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services that may be of interest to you. They may also use technology used to measure the effectiveness of the ads. This may be achieved by them using cookies or web beacons to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide you with relevant advertisements about goods and services of potential interest to you.
The information collected through this process does not allow us to identify your name, contact information or other personal information unless you choose to provide it.
How often will we update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or organisational reasons. Therefore, please review this Cookie Policy regularly to keep up to date with our use of cookies and related technologies.
The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
